Palermo coach Beppe Iachini believes that his side have the quality to defeat strong teams and is confident in their ability prior to Sunday’s encounter with Udinese.

The Rosanero are coming off the back of a 2-0 away win against AC Milan, and the tactician feels his team are good enough to beat anyone.

“Udinese are a good side in terms of quality,” Iachini told the press. “They have Muriel, Thereau and Kone and these players can make the difference.

”We know how to deal with a strong team, which in recent years has been difficult for us.

“Stramaccioni is a good coach and in this way we know to expect a difficult challenge. It is going to be a hard game and difficult  to get a result.

”We must not lower our attention and not think about the previous game, because in this league all of the teams have improved. The team knows what I think and what to do.

”I told the team that the victory against Milan was a nice but also in other games we’ve done well and things have not really worked for us. Maybe we got lucky [against Milan],but I think the games against Napoli and Inter could have gone our way.

“Although we played well against Lazio, unfortunately things just did not go to plan. We must continue with the right application,we  can not afford to do anything else.

”First it was said that against Chievo we had not played a good game, which I do not agree with because there are no easy games. We must deal with all the games one at a time to try to make the season our own.”

Palermo take on Udinese at the Stadio Renzo Barbera on Sunday.
