Inter coach Walter Mazzarri claims exhaustion is effecting his team and causing mistakes.

A late goal from Nico Lopez  forced the Nerazzurri to accept a 2-2 draw with Hellas Verona.

“We had a great first half considering we conceded so early,” Mazzarri told Sky Sport Italia.

“It was an early blow but we recovered and began playing well and created a lot of chances.

“The team is exhausted. Sometimes our defensive mistakes are dictated by general fatigue.”

Mazzarri’s side drop to ninth missing out on the chance to leapfrog AC Milan in the table.

“This is a three year project, we want to do well this year and build on it,” he continued.

“Let’s not forget we are playing in European competitions again with younger players.”

The Inter boss was then asked about his relationship with club President Erick Thohir.

“What is said between me and the president is private, I am optimistic,” he concluded.
