Queens Park Rangers midfielder Mauricio Isla has revealed that he’s happy to be playing regularly for his new club and wishes he could have been more useful during his time with Juventus.

The 26-year-old arrived at the Hoops on a season-long loan from the Bianconeri over the summer, with the Premier League side having the option to make the deal permanent at the end of the 2014-15 campaign, and he admits that he’s been enjoying life in England now that he has secured a role in coach Harry Redknapp’s starting line up.

Isla spoke to the London Evening Standard about the problems he had encountered at Juventus and his ability to regain his form while at QPR due to more playing time.

“It is important for me to stay here a long while because I need to get match fitness back after the knee injury I had suffered in 2012 while I was with Udinese,” said the Chilean international.

“After playing so many games for Udinese, it was a bit of a sad situation at Juventus. Because of the injury and other reasons, I didn’t play all that much for Juve.

“On the other hand, I’m playing regularly here, so I’m really happy about it.”
