On Sunday, Juventus scored seven in a Serie A match for the first time since 1983.

In beating Parma 7-0 on Sunday, with Carlos Tevez, Fernando Llorente and Alvaro Morata all registering braces, the Old Lady ended a run of 31 years since they last scored seven, against Ascoli in September 1983.

The Bianconeri approached the 1983-4 season cautiously, with star players still amongst the ranks but without the retired Dino Zoff and inspirational Roberto Bettega.

However, the early season clash with Ascoli produced early goals from Zbigniew Boniek and Paolo Rossi.

Domenico Penzo then netted four times to secure a romping win over the Picchio, who ended the season in 10th place.

Juventus, meanwhile, went on to reclaim the Scudetto by two points over Roma.

Many similarities can be drawn between that season and the 2013/14 camapign- with all that in mind, perhaps history is about to repeat itself?
