Juventus could add three gold stars to their jersey after being put under pressure by new kit sponsors Adidas.

As per Italian football norms, a gold star is assigned for every 10 editions of Scudetto a team wins. Juventus have won 30 official titles, though the clubs continues to assert it has 32, after two were stripped following the Calciopoli scandal.

Tuttopsort reports that Adidas, who will begin making Juve kits as of next season, are keen on having Juventus flaunt their three stars on the jersey from next season, thus reiterating the superiority of the club in terms of titles.

The Italian giants did put three stars on replica jerseys two years ago after winning their 28/30th title, but had the inscription ’30 sul campo’ – 30 on the field – emblazoned on their official Serie A shirts, instead of opting for three stars.

After the Bianconeri won their 30th official title last season, they decided not to adorn the three stars as they had already achieved this milestone and no longer needed to wear the symbol.
