After celebrating his 34th birthday on Friday, Parma defender Massimo Gobbi thanked supporters for their wishes and added that his ideal gift would be a win against Inter on Saturday evening.

The Ducali are rooted to the bottom of the Serie A table and in desperate need of three points having won just one game from their opening nine fixtures of the season.

“Thank you all for your wishes, winning tomorrow would be the most beautiful gift,” said Gobbi on his official Twitter profile.

The Milan-born left-back joined Parma in August 2010 when his contract with Fiorentina expired and has made 131 Serie A appearances for the club.

Roberto Donadoni’s men host an Inter side who ended Sampdoria’s unbeaten start to the season on Wednesday evening thanks to a 90th minute Mauro Icardi penalty.
