The Argentine-born Italian international has featured just once this term due to injury but was a fundamental part of an impressive campaign last season, making his Azzurri debut versus Spain and being included in their World Cup squad.
According to Radiosei, Biancocelesti president Claudio Lotito has already held talks with Parma officials at his home in Villa San Sebastiano over a January move which would see Abdoulay Konko and Diego Novaretti head in the other direction as part of the deal.
With news that the club are experiencing certain financial difficulties the 28-year-old is certainly one of the Ducali’s most saleable assets, but with the defence currently haemorrhaging goals in his absence could be another step towards relegation.
