Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic has revealed that the Giallorossi are looking for redemption against Bayern Munich ahead of their Champions League match at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday evening.

The capital club suffered their heaviest home loss and joint-biggest defeat overall in their European history on matchday three, but Pjanic insists they will not change their style of football despite the 7-1 loss to the Bundesliga champions.

“We will not change our football and after the losses against Bayern and Napoli we have to prove that,” the 24-year-old said during a pre-match press conference.

“You run into moments like these, in which you face a difficult team that you can’t face the way you’d like to.

“But we learned a lot from that home defeat, and tomorrow we have a chance at redemption.

“What happened at the Stadio Olimpico won’t happen again, and we want to show that there’s not such a gap between us.”

The Bosnia and Herzegovina international also discussed his form and whether Roma are afraid of a repeat result.

“We’re going through a delicate moment now, but since the season began we’ve only lost three times,” he continued.

“I can do better, I know, but it’s just a temporary period.

“I’m continuing to work as I always have and I know my best form will be back, just as it will for the whole team.

“We have to find our game again and each one of us has to give a hand.

“Are we scared of another defeat? No. Bayern are a team that plays well every year and always has an exceptional squad.”
