Parma defeated Inter 2-0 at the Stadio Tardini in the late kick-off in Serie A on Saturday night.

Two goals from on-loan midfielder Paolo De Ceglie were enough to haul the Gialloblu off the bottom of the Serie A table and eases the pressure on coach Roberto Donadoni after suffering six defeats in a row before tonight’s encounter.

Parma

Antonio Mirante -5 – Untested

Hardly tested all night as most of Inter’s attacks broke down outside the box.

Andrea Costa – 6 – Determined

Made some tough tackles and played with real determination. Booked for one of them tough tackles on Icardi.

Felipe – 6 – Steady

Defended well when called upon and made one vital interception. Replaced on 52 with an injury.

Real captain’s performance, cleared an Obi headed off the line in first half and defended well all night. Booked in first half.

Made some real threatening runs down the right and crossed for Parma’s first goal. Be happy with his nights work.

Worked hard in central midfield to break up Inter’s attacks.

Francesco Lodi – 5.5 – Quiet

Again just played in front of the Parma back line and done a good job without offering anything going forward.

Ran at the Inter defence on a few ocassions and kept pressure on the Inter midfield.

Paolo De Ceglie – 7.5 – Decisive

Got both of Parma’s goal with a header early in the first half and a low drive late in the second. Man of the match performance from the on-loan midfielder.

Defended well when replacing Felipe early in the second half.

Massimo Gobbi – N/A

Couldn’t do much on the first goal, but poor on De Ceglie’s second as he was slow to get down on the shot and it squeezed under him.

Andrea Ronocchia – 4.5 – Quiet

Tried to come out of defence to set up play and done enough well called upon.

Again didn’t have a huge amount of defending to do and will be frustrated with the lack of creativity in front of him.

Caught under the ball for the first Parma goal as he mistimed his jump and still looks rusty since his move to the San Siro.
