Sampdoria powered past Fiorentina 3-1 at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris on Sunday afternoon in Serie A.
Goals from Angelo Palombo, Luca Rizzo, and Eder were enough to get the hosts back to winning ways after seeing their unbeaten record snapped with a loss to Inter in the midweek fixture.
Meanwhile, Fiorentina attempted to claw their way back into the match with Stefan Savic getting himself onto the score-sheet, but the Viola, who were trying to build some momentum after defeating Udinese 3-0 in their midweek clash, were unable to get the better of the Blucerchiati.
