In a thrilling game at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, Luciano Spalletti’s men were able to overcome the in a game that will forever be remembered for Totti’s moment of magic.

Vincenzo Montella put the ahead inside 12 minutes by finishing off a swift offensive move, before cut in from the left and unleashed his famous ‘cucchiaio’ (or ‘chip’) over Julio Cesar, who watched in despair as Totti made it 2–0.

Totti once again scored two minutes into the second half to give an unassailable 3–0 lead, but Brazilian international Adriano scored twice to bridge the gap, his goals ultimately not being enough overturn Roma’s lead.
