Roma will be looking to bounce back from last week’s defeat at Napoli when they take on an unpredictable Torino side at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday evening.

Rudi Garcia’s side were beaten 2-0 at the San Paolo and now lie three points behind Juventus in the title race, with rivals Lazio closing in on three points behind.

Another defeat to Bayern Munich in midweek will not help the Giallorossi’s confidence and they have now lost three of their last five matches in all competitions.

Leandro Casta, Marco Borriello and Davide Astori will all miss out through injury, in addition to long-term absentees Kevin Strootman and Federico Balzaretti.

The visitors have been enjoying their return to European football, topping Group B after three rounds, but come unstuck against HJK Helsinki on Thursday evening, losing 2-1 in Finland. That coupled with inconsistent league form has many Torino fans worried for the season.

Granata coach Giampiero Ventura will be buoyed by the form of Fabio Quagliarella, who has four Serie A goals to his name already, and scored the only goal in the Europa League midweek. However, Toro could only manage a disappointing 0-0 draw with Atalanta last time out and sit in twelfth place following some true mid-table form.

They will travel to the capital with a strong squad, but Ventura is missing Cesare Bovo, Migjen Basha and Kamil Glik to injury.
