The 22-year-old played a major part in his country’s success at the World Cup finals during the summer, as they progressed from the group stages after beating Italy 1-0 in Recife, but the first-team opportunities expected to arrive from those performances have not materialised.
Any move for the youngster is almost certain to be a loan deal, however, with the Viola struggling to cope with the loss of Giuseppe Rossi and Federico Bernardeschi to injury, Tuttomercatoweb report that the Florence based club are keen to bring in reinforcements.
Serie A rival Inter are also monitoring the situation, but with Mauro Icardi in good form, plus Rodrigo Palacio and Pablo Osvaldo in support he could find playing time equally difficult at the San Siro.
