AC Milan defender Cristian Zapata has spoken of his desire to become a first-team regular at the San Siro, and has questioned some of Filippo Inzaghi’s squad selections.
Zapata has grown frustrated with the constant rotation of the defensive line in particular, which he believes has an impact on team balance.
“I hope to become a first-team regular again soon,” he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“Because it’s hard to find form without continuity. The back-line has hardly ever been the same and when you frequently change the players, it’s hard to find a balance.
“I myself know that I have had some negative displays. Against Palermo, for instance, it all went wrong.
“I know that I still have a lot to prove, but I have no doubts over my qualities.”
Milan face Udinese in the Serie A this weekend and will be looking to bounce back after their draw with Inter in the Milan derby.
