AC Milan are eyeing a loan move for the Real Madrid wideman Fabio Coentrao, and could move for Guangzhou Evergrande’s Alessandro Diamanti should a move fail to materialize.

Coentrao is not a regular starter for Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid side, with Marcelo’s form and injury problems having restricted the Portuguese international to only seven appearances this season.

AC Milan, who are in the market to sign a winger in January, have been tracking Coentrao this season and believe that the 26 year old will add much needed quality according to Tuttosport.

Meanwhile, Milan are also apparently keeping tabs on former Bologna playmaker and Italy international Alessandro Diamanti should a move for Coentrao fall through.

However, signing him on loan from Guangzhou Evergrande could be a complicated deal given the Chinese club paid close to €7 million to sign him from Bologna earlier this year.
