In-form Chievo are set to host Inter at the Stadio Bentegodi on Monday night, in an attempt to extend their five-game unbeaten run.

Rolando Maran’s men have picked up nine points from a possible fifteen in their previous five games, whilst the Nerazzurri are on the opposite side of the spectru – picking up only two points in their previous five Serie A encounters.

The Gialloblu were able to pick up four points from a possible six against the Biscione last season, having drew 1-1 at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza and later overcoming Inter at the Stadio Bentegodi by a score of 2-1.

In spite of last season’s results however, Inter have the lead over the Flying Donkeys in the previous six games, doing the double over Chievo twice in both 2011/2012 and 2012/2013.

Roberto Mancini is yet to grab his first win in Serie A since taking over, drawing in the Derby della Madonnina with city-rivals AC Milan, yet succumbing to two successive defeats against Roma and Udinese, respectively. On the other hand, Maran has put Chievo two points clear of the relegation zone with wins against Lazio and Cesena and draws against Sassuolo, Udinese, and Lazio.

The home side are set to miss both Ervin Zukanovic and Nicolas Frey due to suspension, whilst Roberto Mancini will miss the services of Nemanja Vidic due to injury, with Hernanes a doubt ahead of the game.
