Fiorentina have enquired about signing Chievo striker Alberto Paloschi.
The Viola are looking to strengthen their striking options in January, and the 24-year-old is believed to be a preferred option out of many that have been scouted by Serie A’s eighth-placed side.
According to La Nazione, a formal enquiry has been made to Chievo, but was rebuffed by the Gialloblu, who have higher demands and have asserted the possibility of a player exchange as part of any deal.
This could involve Fiorentina defender Ahmed Hegazy, who The Flying Donkeys may look to bring in to reinforce their back-line.
Of course, the real issue for Chievo would be scoring goals, as the departure of top-scorer Paloschi would leave Serie A’s second-lowest scorers without their main threat.
However, for a Fiorentina side that have scored the joint-lowest amount in the top eight, a proven striker such as the Italian would be a welcome addition.
