Fiorentina goalkeeper Neto is reported to be considering the possibility of joining the Viola’s bitter rivals Juventus when his contract runs out.
The Brazilian established himself as Fiorentina’s number one last season but, having not signed a contract renewal, could be heading for the exit door this summer after five years in Florence.
Liverpool had been touted as a possible destination but Sky Sport Italia say Neto could make the controversial decision to swap the Stadio Artemio Franchi for the Juventus stadium.
Neto said back in October that he would never play for the Bianconeri and his first choice was to remain with Fiorentina. With no deal in place though, the Old Lady will not have given up hope of persuading Neto his future lies in Turin.
The Italian champions have identified the 25-year-old as the ideal understudy to Gianluigi Buffon until the World Cup winner hangs up his gloves.
