Genoa are close to completing the loan signing of Spartak Moscow playmaker Alberto ‘Tino’ Costa.
The 29-year-old Argentinian international has spent the last year in Russia, after moving to the club from Spanish outfit Valencia in June 2013.
Sky Sport Italia report that Costa will arrive at Genoa on an initial 18 month loan which finishes in June 2016, where Genoa will have the option to sign him permanently at any time during his temporary stay.
Costa has reportedly cleared his medical tests with the Grifone, and a formal announcement is expected soon by the club to finalize the transfer.
The midfielder will represent Genoa’s first signing of the transfer window, as they look to build on their impressive season.
