Inter coach Roberto Mancini has confirmed that the Nerazzurri are interested in signing Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski during the January transfer window.

The German international looks to be on the verge of joining Inter after being heavily linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium.

“Podolski is a good player,” the 50-year-old tactician told Sport Mediaset.

“He is part of a list of players that we are following, so we will see what will come of it.”

Former Real Madrid player Lassana Diarra, who is currently locked in a legal battle with Lokomotiv Moscow in a bid to be declared a free agent, was identified as another transfer target.

“He is very good, but he has an ongoing dispute and we have to see how it is solved,” he continued.

Mancini also revealed that he is not angry with Alessio Cerci as the former Torino star is set to join AC Milan from Atletico Madrid as part of an exchange with Fernando Torres.

“I am not angry with Cerci. We had never started any negotiations, he was just one of many we were following,” Mancini concluded.
