Inter players Yann M’Vila, Mauro Icardi and Pablo Dani Osvaldo have been publicly criticised for being visibly nervous and frustrated during the Nerazzurri’s 4-2 defeat away at Roma.

The game also saw some extra controversy after Roberto Mancini was expelled from the Inter dugout by the referee.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, M’Vila was angered after seeing Mancini tell the goalkeeping coach Giulio Nuciari to replace the French midfielder with Mateo Kovacic just after Mancini was sent to the stands.

M’Vila then reportedly voiced his displeasure on the pitch just metres from Nuciari before hitting the Plexiglass dugout wall after making way and the French international then had to be calmed down by Ibrahima Mbaye on the bench.

Icardi was also visibly irritated when he was subbed on with nine minutes of regular time left although it is not clear whether that was due to him being displeased at being brought on so late or if he was simply impatient and eager to get on.

However, at the final whistle the Argentine striker did go straight back down the tunnel without acknowledging anybody.

Former Roma striker Osvaldo was also criticised for his fingers on lips gesture after scoring an equaliser in the 56th minute.

It is expected that the Inter hierarchy will discuss matters with the players involved at Inter’s next training session.
