Adem Ljajic Roma 2 Sassuolo 2Adam Ljajic equalised in the 93rd minute to rescue a point for Roma against Sassuolo at the Stadio Olimpico, though he was disappointed with the fact that his side didn’t get the win.

After being hit twice in the opening 20 minutes by Simone Zaza, Ljajic scored a brace of his own, but the home side missed a glorious opportunity to reduce the gap with Juventus to just a single point after their 0-0 draw with Fiorentina on Friday night.

Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, the Serbian international said, “It was a difficult game in which we worked hard as we played most of the second half with only ten men.”

“Sassuolo are very strong, especially going forward, and we couldn’t have wished for a worse start.”

Asked whether he has climbed the pecking order after his fifth consecutive game, he said, “Right now I feel very good because the coach has shown faith in me and I have gotten continuity that I needed.”

“We should definitely have reduced the gap to Juventus, but we did not succeed however, there are still many matches to play and a lot of points are still available.”
