Inter coach Roberto Mancini has called upon the fringe players in his squad to impress him tonight, with qualification from Group F in the Europa League already secured ahead of Thursday evening’s match in against Qarabag FK.

Following a frustrating 2-1 defeat to Udinese last Sunday, Mancini has called for a response from his players, particularly from players who have had less chances to demonstrate their ability so far this season.

“Even if tonight doesn’t count towards the standings, I want to see players who have so far not had many opportunities,” Mancini told SportMediaset

Mancini hinted that Federico Bonazzoli and other youth prospects could get a chance to impress him tonight, with the 17-year-old only having made three appearances for the Nerazzurri so far.

“We’ve used a lot of youngsters like him, for some of them there will an opportunity to play.”

Nemanja Vidic’s future was also discussed, after a difficult start to life in Milan and omissions from recent matches including tonight and the Milan derby.

“He hasn’t travelled with us for the game because he was ill, and not in a state to play, while with Milan he had a physical problem.

“For this reason he hasn’t trained much with the squad. If he regains fitness he will certainly be a useful member of the squad, especially given his great experience.”
