AC Milan forward M’Baye Niang has revealed that he’s mainly focused on securing a spot in coach Filippo Inzaghi’s starting squad and insisted that he isn’t thinking of leaving the Italian club at this time.

The 19-year-old, who has made just two Serie A appearances as a substitute this season thus far, admits that he’s fine with waiting for his opportunity to show his talents on the pitch and still feels honoured to wear the Milan shirt despite a lack of playing time at the San Siro outfit.

Niang spoke to fans through his official Twitter page about his future at AC Milan and his current objectives, while also commenting on the possibility of him making his exit from the club any time soon.

“The future? I work hard everyday to achieve my goals and live up to my ambitions,” said the French youngster, who returned to Milan over the summer after spending the second half of the 2013-14 campaign on loan at Montpellier.

“Inzaghi? He knows I exist, since I’m still called to every game.

“I’m not worried about my lack of space in the squad, I have already been able to play when Kaka, Mario Balotelli and Robinho were still here. Right now I’m just waiting for my opportunity again.

“The market? Right now I’m not thinking about that, I’ll think about it when the right time comes. Today the most important thing is that I become a main player in this team that has confidence in me.

“How does it feel to dress in the Milan shirt? It’s a great thing, an honour for me.”
