AC Milan forward Giampaolo Pazzini has thanked the Rossoneri fans after his heartfelt entrance in the last 10 minutes of the match against Udinese on Sunday.
The 30-year-old was brought on in the 80th minute in the 2-0 victory and received a warm reception as he replaced goal-scorer Jeremy Menez by the San Siro faithful.
“When you do not play with continuity it is difficult, but today when I came on you made me feel welcome. I did not expect it, it was a thrill! I thank you and embrace you,” Pazzini wrote on Facebook.
Pazzini has at times cut a frustrated figure at AC Milan, featuring sporadically this season, making only six substitute appearances.
