Porto striker Jackson Martinez has been linked with a move to AC Milan during the January transfer window.
Summer signing Fernando Torres, who was signed on loan from Chelsea last summer to bolster the Rossoneri attack, has failed to impress since his arrival at San Siro and as a result coach Filippo Inzaghi has been looking elsewhere to strengthen his forward set-up.
According to Tuttosport, Inzaghi believes that a third place finish is still within grasp but that improvements in attack are needed to achieve that.
As a result the Rossoneri could move for Martinez who has a release clause of around €35 million, but Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani is confident of bringing down the transfer fee.
