Two Torino ultras have been charged after directing insults towards Juventus sporting director of youth Gianluca Pessotto.

The incident occurred during a Primavera Coppa Italia match when a number of rival fans took their chance to hurl abuse towards the former Juventus player.

According to Tuttomercatoweb.com, the Toro fans tried to provoke Pessotto with insults that alluded to his alleged suicide attempt in 2006.

This unpleasant episode has since been posted on the internet and has led to the convictions of two men, one being a 51-year-old and the other a 57-year old.

They have both been charged with crimes of abuse, as well as possessing objects designed to offend.

Massimo Bava, of whom is head at youth at Torino, has since spoken to the press and distanced the club from the incident.

“This was totally unacceptable,” said Bava after the 1-0 defeat.
