AC Milan are reported to be interested in securing the services of Sevilla midfielder Stephane Mbia, on a pre-contract deal.
The Cameroon captain is out of contract with the La Liga side in the Summer, despite only signing for them at the start of this season.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, the player visited the city of Milan over the Christmas break, to become familiar with the surroundings in anticipation of a potential deal.
Any agreement would represent the Rossoneri’s second such transfer in this current January transfer window, after securing Liverpool youngster Suso on a similar style of deal, earlier in the month.
Mbia was a key part of the Sevilla team which won the Europa League last season, converting in the final’s penalty shootout.
