AC Milan are reportedly considering a move for Roma striker Marco Borriello as they focus on strengthening their attack before the end of the January transfer window.

The 32-year-old, who will be out of a contract with the Giallorossi in June, has been heavily linked with a move away from the capital city club since the summer and it seems like a return to the San Siro outfit might be in his future.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, AC Milan boss Pippo Inzaghi would be looking for a striker to have as an alternative to Giampaolo Pazzini as he experiments with new tactics and could be open to signing the former Genoa man in the coming days.

However, other reports suggest that the Rossoneri might also have their sights set on Pablo Osvaldo, as the Italian international is expected to terminate his loan deal at Inter from Southampton in order to find a new home for the remainder of the season.

Borriello, who has failed to make an appearance for Roma this season thus far, scored 14 goals in his 29 Serie A appearances in his most recent stint at Milan during the 2009-10 season.
