AC Milan midfielder Essien set for Premier League return?

AC Milan midfielder Michael Essien could be making a move back to England with West Bromwich Albion, if reports are to be believed.

The 32-year-old Ghanaian international is off-contract at the end of the season, and has been he won’t be offered a new deal to stay at the club.

Sport Mediaset report that West Brom will make a concrete approach to Essien’s representatives in the coming days to try and convince him to return to England.

Clubs in the Middle East and Major League Soccer have also made tentative inquiries for Essien in the past few weeks, but the player could desire a move back to the Premier League.

Essien has made nine appearances so far this season for the Rossoneri, of which only five have been starts.
