Atalanta defender Giuseppe Biava lamented Atalanta’s draw with Chievo, stating that a victory could have been a turning point for their difficult season.
The Orobici conceded at the death to draw 1-1 against Chievo, just moments after they had been reduced to ten men following the dismissal of Gianpaolo Bellini, and Biava knows just how important a win would have been.
“There is a lot of regret over how the match unfolded,” Biava told TuttoAtalanta.com.
“We went ahead and it could have been a great turning point against a direct rival in the table.
“Now we have to keep an eye on Cagliari who won [2-1 against Cesena] and we already know that it will be tough.
“[My return to action?] I am happy and I tried to give my best for the team.”
Atalanta now find themselves just one point clear of Cagliari, who occupy the last relegation place in Serie A.
