AC Milan legend Zvonimir Boban has criticised Filippo Inzaghi’s style of play following the Rossoneri’s disappointing 1-0 defeat at home to Atalanta.

The 46-year-old works as a pundit on Italian television where he is known for his honesty and often critical nature.

“This team has never played great football, and at the same time Inzaghi has never given them great ideologies on their football,” the former Croatia playmaker said following Sunday’s defeat.

“They aren’t sacrificing and giving it all, they are relaxing and jogging, and as a team that means only an even more mediocre Milan side will play. If you don’t run and fight, this is the Milan you will see.”

Boban played 178 times for Milan during 1991-2002, scoring 21 goals and winning four Serie A titles as well as the UEFA Champions League trophy in 1994 at Athens Olympic Stadium in Athens, Greece.
