As striker Mattia Destro’s future at Roma remains uncertain, the Giallorossi continue to be linked with replacements including Borussia Dortmund’s Ciro Immobile.
The 2013/14 Capocannoniere has not adjusted to life in Germany and has struggled for goals and playing time since joining his new club.
According to Il Messaggero, should the former Siena man leave Rome in January, Luiz Adriano of Shakhtar Donetsk would be the first choice to replace him. However, if Destro departs in the Summer then Ciro Immobile would be the preferred option to take his place.
The Italian has so far failed to convince coach Jurgen Klopp and is not a guaranteed starter for the German club . In 13 league appearances, out of which only seven were starts, Immobile has managed three goals and one assist.
