Cagliari are reportedly seen as the favourites to land Fiorentina midfielder Andrea Lazzari before the end of the January transfer window.
The 30-year-old, who will be out of a contract with the Viola in June, has only been able to earn a place in Vincenzo Montella’s Europa League squad this season and has been linked with a possible move to several other Italian sides this winter including Sampdoria, Bari and Chievo, but it seems like the Isolani are currently leading the pack in the fight for his signature.
According to Tuttomercatoweb.com, the former Udinese man would be open to a return to Cagliari, where he played from 2008-11, though he would only be allowed to leave Fiorentina if the Rossoblu were to present a considerable offer for his services.
Despite his failure to appear in the Serie A this term, Lazzari is a key player in Montella’s Europa League line up and has provided one assist in his five appearances in the competition this season thus far.
