Cagliari look set to tussle with Leeds United over the signature of fringe Juventus midfielder Luca Marrone.
The 24-year-old former Italian youth international made a permanent move to Turin in a deal worth €5 million in the summer after being previously co-owned with Sassuolo.
The move has not turned out as expected with the versatile midfielder not having made a single appearance for the club this season.
Tuttosport report that Cagliari could be set to make a loan offer for Marrone that will see the midfielder spend the rest of the campaign with the Sardinian outfit.
New Cagliari boss Gianfranco Zola is keen for reinforcements, and is very interested to add the former Sassuolo star to his ranks as they bid to starve off the threat of relegation.
