Lazio defender Michael Ciani has received an offer to return to his native France with Ligue 1 club Toulouse.
The 6ft 2in centre back has so far only been a bit-part of his side’s promising campaign, and at 30 years of age, the French club are hoping that an offer to return back to his homeland might be on the player’s mind.
According to reports on Eurosport, the Toulouse sporting director Ali Rachedi has traveled to the Peninsula in order to gauge whether the player has any interest in discussing terms and making a move to French football.
Ciani last played in the land of his birth in 2012, spending three years at Bordeaux. He has also appeared for Auxerre and Lorient.
This season, the defender who wears the number two shirt, has featured just seven times in Serie A for Lazio.
