New AC Milan recruit Mattia Destro has reportedly chosen the number 9 shirt at the Rossoneri.
The Italian international officially finalised his move to the San Siro from Roma on a loan deal with an option to buy if he impresses.
According to ANSA, Destro has chosen to don the number 9 jersey which was left vacant after the departure of Fernando Torres, and is expected to train with the side ahead of the game against Parma on Sunday.
Speaking to Sport Mediaset, the striker expressed his ecstasy at the move to Milan.
“It’s a great feeling, I’m very happy,” he said. “There was no need for an incentive to come here.”
Destro has scored five goals in 16 appearances for the Giallorossi this campaign.
