After Parma’s 2-0 loss at home against Sampdoria, Roberto Donadoni felt his men were careless in the second half and but is hopeful the Gialloblu will sign reinforcements during the final days of the January transfer window.

After a solid 0-0 first half, Parma were unable to hold off Sampdoria’s attack, conceding two goals from Argentine , Gonzalo Bergessio and Italian youngster Roberto Soriano.

“Today, especially in the second half, we were careless. In the first half we were able to hold them (Sampdoria) off. Then we immediately conceded goals because of carelessness” said Donadoni to Rai Sport.

“We were outnumbered. We lacked the desire to react and continue off of our victory in the Coppa Italia [against Cagliari last Wednesday].”

The Parma coach then went on to speak about the remaining days in the January transfer window, in which he is convinced the club will sign some players.

“It is clear that it is difficult, but we have 12 days to do something in the market. I am convinced that the company will try to regroup in some way. We need reinforcements.

“We will try to do our best but if we do not win points, the situation gets even more complicated. We have a duty to try until the end.”
