Fiorentina midfielder Joshua Brillante has signed for Empoli on loan for one and half year.
The Australian transferred from A-League club Newcastle Jets and a lot was expected from him but he has only appeared twice for the Viola and is seeking regular playing time.
According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Empoli have snapped up the 21-year old midfielder on an 18 month loan deal.
The former Jets player of the year will be presented at the Stadio Castellani on Saturday, January 24, 2015 and has opted for the number 25.
Brillante will be hoping to aid Empoli’s cause as they look to avoid relegation and might play a part when the Azzurri host Udinese on Sunday.
