Roma have signed midfielder Alessandro Florenzi to a new contract that will extend his stay at the capital club until the end of the 2019 season.
The Giallorossi were keen to extend the contract of the versatile 23-year-old, whose contract expired on June 30, 2014, who can play on either wing or in central midfield.
According to Corriere dello Sport, his new base salary will start at €2 million per year with bonuses and wage rises over the upcoming seasons.
Florenzi is a graduate of Roma’s youth academy and has spent his entire career in Rome except for the 2011-12 season where he was on loan with the Serie B side Crotone, and has gone on to play in 102 competitive matches for Roma scoring 12 goals and creating 14 assists.
