Genoa are close to signing a loan deal for Spartak Moscow center back Salvatore Bocchetti.
The 28-year-old has struggled to find playing time during the 2014-15 season, only playing in three of 18 league matches, and has been deemed as surplus to requirements by Spartak coach Murat Yakin.
According to the Corriere Dello Sport, Spartak Moscow are ready to agree terms on a six-month loan deal for Bocchetti with an option to buy the player after the conclusion of the 2014-15 season.
Bocchetti played with Genoa between 2008 and 2010 before leaving to join Rubin Kazan in the Russian Premier League.
