Inter are continuing the overhaul of their central midfield and are now monitoring Atletico Madrid player Mario Suarez for a potential January transfer attempt.

After the arrival of on-loan stars Lukas Podolski and the versatile attacking midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri, Inter manager Roberto Mancini is now looking to replace Yann M’Vila, who has been linked with a move away from the Nerazzurri.

According to La Gazetta dello Sport, whilst Inter are interested in Suarez, an official attempt to sign him will be determined by the sales of players currently in their squad and any other additions made during the January transfer window.

The Milan side have shown interest in many holding midfielders, including Lucas Leiva of Liverpool, Thiago Motta of PSG, Ignacio Camacho of Malaga, and Paulinho of Tottenham Hotspur.
