Inter have sent fullback Alvaro Pereira on loan to Estudiantes, after his initial loan with Sao Paulo was cut short due to ‘personal reasons’.
The 29-year-old Uruguayan international was supposed to end his loan with the Brazilian outfit in June, but will now spend the next six months in Argentina.
“The reason for my departure is personal. I will be eternally grateful to the directors for understanding my needs,” Pereira told reporters.
“I want to thank the family of Sao Paulo, as I had a wonderful year here and can say I am a fan of Sao Paulo. Who knows, in future I might return and wear this jersey again.”
“I leave the club, but I’ll still support the team, which will have major challenges this season. I will miss everything in São Paulo.”
Pereira has a contract that ends in June 2016 with Inter.
