Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri has stated that the Bianconeri are looking to win the Coppa Italia as they prepare to battle with Hellas Verona on Thursday.

Juve will square off against the Gialloblu, with the winner set to play Parma in the quarter finals and Allegri is keen to end Juve’s 20 year wait for the Coppa Italia.

“It is one of our goals for the season, to win the cup,” Allegri told reporters at his pre-match press conference.

“We must do our best in this competition as if it was Serie A or the Champions League.

“The stadium will be full for the Verona game and that will give our players extra motivation.

“Tomorrow [Carlos] Tevez and [Andrea] Pirlo will be rested. We have four strikers available for the game and any combination of them could start.

“Looking back at the summer transfer window we did well. [Roberto] Pereyra is the player who has played most from our summer signings and done well.

“[Patrice] Evra had a difficult start but he is now settled in the team and [Alvaro] Morata has not been able to play too often but when he has, he has always made an impact.”
