Juventus are set to continue their pursuit of Galatasaray midfielder Wesley Sneijder this January transfer window despite the Turkish club’s reluctance to sell him.

The current Scudetto holders have been linked with a move for several weeks, but as of yet there are no signs of the move reaching a conclusion.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Bianconeri are unwilling to pay the €20 million release clause and will not budge in their stance.

It is believed that Juventus are reluctant to spend more than €7 million to bring the former Inter star back to Italy.

Other possible alternatives should the Sneijder deal not come to fruition include Stevan Jovetic of Manchester City, who has been linked with an exit from the Etihad Stadium following the recent signing of Wilfried Bony.

Juventus currently sit atop the Serie A, three points clear of second place Roma.
