Juventus have made contact with Galatasaray over the availability of attacking midfielder Wesley Sneijder.

Allegri is transitioning from the 3-5-2 formation, preferred by previous coach Antonio Conte, to a 4-4-2 formation and Juventus are looking to fill the top of the diamond with a talented player.

It was thought a deal was in place for Bayern Munich attacking midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri but the deal has fallen through as the Bavarians are asking for €15 million to sell the Swiss international during the 2015 summer transfer window.

According to Sportmediaset, Sneijder will be a cheaper option to acquire than Shaqiri, but Juventus will still struggle with the Dutch international’s salary which is €6 million a season.

Juventus will have to fight to obtain the services of Sneijder who has just been offered a new contract by the Istanbul based club and is being chased by many Premier League clubs including Manchester City, Manchester United, and Southampton.
