Juventus are stepping up their attempts to reinforce their defence and are expected to make a final decision in their pursuit of Porto defender Rolando shortly.

Continuing injury concerns over Andrea Barzagli mean the Bianconeri have identified a defensive signing as a priority.

Rolando’s experience of Serie A in his spells with Napoli and Inter, coupled with the fact he is currently out of favour at his current club make him an attractive proposition for the Old Lady.

Tuttomercatoweb.com state that the player has already agreed to the move but the club still need to agree terms with Porto.

Juventus however have some concerns over the players match fitness due to his lack of action this season and are reported to make a final decision after their clash with Inter in the coming week.

Rolando spent last season on loan at Inter, making 29 appearances for the Nerazzurri.
