Lazio have turned their attention to Ajax captain Niklas Moisander, as they look for alternatives to primary target AZ Alkmaar defender Wesley Hoedt.
The 29-year-old Finnish international has been a consistent performer for the Dutch champions since making the move there from AZ in 2012, but is linked with a move away.
Sky Sport Italia report that a number of clubs around Europe are keen on securing the talented defender, who has a contract that runs out at the end of the season.
Lazio have joined the race, and have established Moisander as a viable target if a move for Hoedt fails to go through.
Moisander has been an ever-present for Ajax this term, garnering 21 appearances in all competitions so far.
