Liverpool coach Brendan Rodgers has said he does not expect Lucas Leiva to leave the club in the January transfer window.
The 28-year-old midfielder has been linked with a move away from Anfield and towards Inter, but Rodgers doubts that a move will actually go ahead.
“I have heard the rumours, but I do not think Lucas will leave Liverpool in January,” the 41-year-old told Fox Sports.
“This is mainly because we haven’t received any offers for him so far.”
The Brazilian joined Liverpool in 2007 for €6.4 million, and has scored one goal in 187 appearances in the Premier League for the Reds.
