After an easy 2-0 away win against last place Parma at the Stadio Ennio Tardini, Sampdoria coach Sinisa Mihajlovic heaped praise on his side and reminded everyone that this is the first time Sampdoria have had this many points after 19 matches.
Gonzalo Bergessio and Roberto Soriano both were able to grab a goal in the second half of the match as Samp keep pace with Napoli in third place in Serie A.
“We are having a great season and this makes me happy. We have been able to rise above some top teams and with hard work, we have the ability come away with the right results,” said Mihajlovic to Sky Sport Italia.
“I am happy. Today we played a great game on a very difficult pitch. No Sampdoria team has won this many points after 19 matches. We have only lost two matches out of 19 and I am very happy.”
The Blucerchiati coach would then go on to speak about new signing Luis Muriel and possible signing Samuel Eto’o.
“Our ultimate goals will be defined according to the team that we have. For now there is (Luis) Muriel, however, he will not be available for another 30-40 days.
“Eto’o? I will not speak about him because he is still not one of our players.”
